Let me introduce to you The Tutorial Horse!
Basically, was asked by many, many people how to do various things and even requests to make a tutorial.
So I decided I would set up this little project called The tutorial horse.
Basically, it is a walk through of how I made this image here (though in none of the tutorials do you see this exact one, not even in the very last one) except it is split into individual tutorials. They are probably filled with typos, probably not even that good, but it is all there.
So you can see the development of an entire piece, or, search for individual tutorials.
All the tutorials are listed here:
1. Cutting
2. Background preparation
3. Repositioning the horse
4. Basic lighting
5. De-shine
6. Horse prep
7. Markings and recolour
8. Highlighting and lowlighting the horse
9. Drawing the eye
10. Grounding
11. Manes and tails
12. Reflections and shadows
13. Adding in other objects
